You don’t just want to develop applications. You want to understand how technology can actually make work easier?

That’s exactly what this role is about.

As an Application Developer at aobis, you will primarily work on topics related to Artificial Intelligence, Microsoft 365 and automation. You will analyse requirements, develop suitable solutions and connect existing systems, tools and services in a way that makes sense.

Traditional software development is part of the role, but it is not the main focus. What matters much more to us is that you understand what modern AI technologies can do, where they add real value and how to turn them into solutions that actually work in day-to-day business.

And you won’t be working in an isolated development environment. Cybersecurity, networking, cloud and IT infrastructure are just as much part of the bigger picture, because good applications only work when they work well with the entire IT landscape.

  • Analyse, develop and implement applications, automations and digital workflows
  • Design and integrate AI-based solutions into existing business processes
  • Document and continuously improve existing applications and processes
  • Evaluate new AI technologies, tools and potential use cases
  • Work with Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Platform and other Microsoft technologies
  • Develop and integrate interfaces and APIs
  • Automate recurring processes and manual workflows
  • Consider cybersecurity, permissions and data protection from the very beginning
  • Collaborate with our agile Factories across infrastructure, networking, security and Service Desk
So no, you won’t be expected to spend eight hours a day writing code. We are much more interested in whether you understand technology, recognise how different systems and requirements connect, and can turn a good idea into a solution our customers can actually use.

YOUR SKILLS

We are looking for someone who is curious about new technologies, does more than simply experiment with AI and knows that Microsoft 365 is much more than an Office suite.

  • You have expertise in application development or software development
  • Your knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and modern AI technologies brings new expertise to our team and expands our skill set
  • You can assess where AI makes sense and, just as importantly, where it doesn’t
  • You are familiar with Microsoft 365 and the wider Microsoft ecosystem
  • Ideally, you have experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot or comparable technologies
  • APIs, interfaces and automation are familiar territory for you
  • You have a solid understanding of IT infrastructure and consider cybersecurity from the outset when developing new solutions
  • You understand, structure and translate customer requirements into technical solutions
  • You enjoy working independently while also exchanging ideas and expertise with colleagues from other disciplines
  • You are curious and keen to explore technologies that may not even be on our tool list yet

Which programming language you prefer is less important to us than how you approach a problem and turn it into a solution that works.
